The most impressive post was Lois', which was a big, fat lie and therefore wonderful fiction.
Today's question:
Q: If your protagonist read your book, what would he/she have to say about it?
A: (my response) Simon would feel that I gave him too much credit because he made mistakes that might have cost Elizabeth Tudor her life. POISON, YOUR GRACE http://www.amazon.com/Poison-Your-Grace-Five-Mystery/dp/1432825364/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1320842708&sr=1-1
Remember: ONE SENTENCE and a link to your latest book!
Also, no sign of my author copies yet, so there's still time to guess the date and time they will arrive. Release date is Nov. 16. The closest guess wins an autographed copy.

I found this reader comment in the SPAM list--C'mon, Blogger!
ReplyDeleteYour blog party is a wonderful idea!!! It's great that each answer gives some insight into the protagonist's personality - which is why, I'm sure, that you ask the question! Anyway, it makes me want to read each book. Kay
LOL! What didn't you believe, Peg? The boa, the pink palazzo, or Sergio?
ReplyDeleteAnswer to today's question:
Anastasia is very vocal in her positive feelings toward the author who tells her story, because although she knows at times she comes across as clueless, having fallen for her husband's lies for years, she doesn't want other women to find themselves up to their eyeballs in debt the way she is, thanks to that Dead Louse of a Spouse.

and look for DEATH BY KILLER MOP DOLL, coming in Jan.
Mitch Malone would have nothing good to say because he didn't write any of it and he believes he is the best writer and is number one at the Grand River Journal for covering and solving murder and mayhem.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks Peg for the gift certificate! I'm guessing your books will arrive at 3 p.m. Nov. 15 so you can sleep the nigh before the release!

Ann Gavrion would admit she'd fallen under the spell of Lawrence on The Ghost Ship, and how much his great-grandson had broken her heart when she returned from the voyage and told him that her trip was not a phony ploy to write a book about his famous ancestor and the historical ghost ship.

Sheriff Tony Abernathy would probably claim he doesn't really eat that much pie and if he does it's only to be polite and since Blossom Flowers went to all the trouble to bake it and bring it to his office, he's only being nice when he doesn't share.

Thanks for posting the photo of Luci Zahray and me at Malice--it was a bit of a shock to pull up your blog and find my face.
ReplyDeleteI'm still guessing your books will arrive today at 2:00.
Yet another person who couldn't get the site to accept her post. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThe closest I've come to a protagonist is a character in a fanfic short story that never got beyond our local group;
Vila would have said "no way I would have refused that drink"!

And...so it goes. Here's David's:
ReplyDeleteMy private investigator Kirsten did read The Towman’s Daughters, and what she said was: “Gotta hand it to you, David, for pretty much getting it straight about Juan Cho and his daughters, but in the future I wish you’d remember that I’m the PI in this series, and I’d appreciate your keeping that damn Dugan—love him though I do—busier with his law practice and out of my cases…although I wouldn’t mind a few more of those warm nights with him and me up on the roof with a bottle of bubbly.”

PTA secretary, children's bookstore owner, and mom Beth Kennedy is probably horrified that her houskeeping habits have appeared in print. It's all true, of course, but why did that author have to write about the cat hair and the piles of laundry?

And again:
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that the protagonist would be a little miffed at the author for giving away any of his/her quirks and bad habits.
